TRINITY UNITED CHURCH COMMITTEE OF STEWARDS MEETING FEBRUARY 2, 2010

Attendees

Glenda Turner, Linda Brown, Andy Adamson, Jane Adamson, Don Coleman and Diane Buchanan.

Regrets- Connie Shibley, Rachel Henry and Jennifer Bennett. A quorum was present.

1. Call to Order

Andy Adamson called the meeting to order in the name of Jesus Christ, the one and only Head of the Church at 7:00 p.m.

2. Andy Adamson lead the meeting with the opening prayer.

3. Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved with one addition.

4. Minutes - Moved by Glenda Turner and seconded by Linda Brown that the January 5, 2010 minutes be accepted. Carried.

5. Business arising from the minutes

a) Down Home Dinner to honour Black History Month and raise money for the Haitian Relief Fund was planned and discussed for Feb. 20th. Receipts for donations over $10. will be given. Diane Buchanan, Linda Brown and Ann McDougall are coordinating this event.

b) d) Going Green tablecloths - Andy Adamson reported that the paper tablecloths were not acceptable as they were not wide enough.

c) Winter Wake-Up Breakfasts will be held Jan. 9 - Feb. 6. $850. has been raised from the event with just one breakfast to be held Feb. 6th. A voluntary basket has received donations for the Haiti fund.

6. Treasurer's Report - Moved by Don Coleman and seconded by Jane Adamson that the Treasurer's Report be accepted as presented.

7. Counters for February Feb. 7 - Jane Adamson

8. Correspondence - An email from Harold Dalmas re Scout Banquet on April 24, 2010 was received and confirmed a roast beef dinner.

9. Maintenance & Renovations - Glenda Turner will check regarding the completion of the lower bathroom (slop) sink repair.

10. New business - a) Election of new officers

Moved by Linda Brown and seconded by Diane Buchanan that this be our new officers with Linda Brown checking with absent members regarding the Nominating Committee.

May 8 - Mother's Day Pie Sale

May 22 - Whale of a Sale and possibly Plant Sale

June 13 - Anniversary Luncheon

July 17 - Summer picnic at Andy and Jane Adamson’s

October - Apple pie bee and sale

October - Pig Roast

C) Andy Adamson will check with Rev. Lynda Price regarding the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities for 2011.

11. Next meeting - Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7pm in the Memorial Room.
