TRINITY UNITED CHURCH COMMITTEE OF STEWARDS MEETING - JUNE 2, 2009

Don Coleman,  Andy Adamson, Rachael Henry,   Glenda Turner, Jane Adamson, Connie Shibley and Ann McDougall, and Jennifer Bennett
Regrets-Linda Brown, Diane Buchanan, Dorina Friedl.    A quorum was present.

1.  Call to Order
Ann McDougall called the meeting to order in the name of Jesus Christ, the one and only Head of the Church at 7:02 p.m. 
2. Ann McDougall read the  opening prayer.

3.  Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved with one addition for New Business.

4.  Minutes - Moved by Glenda Turner and seconded by Jane Adamson  that the minutes  be accepted with one change that Jane Adamson is helping (not co-chairing the carrot pudding fund raiser).  Carried.

5.  Business arising from the minutes
   a) Don Coleman distributed the Use of Hall folders and noted the changes made.

   b) The Pie Sale made a profit of $648. with a total of 80 pies.

   c) Plant Sale - Jennifer Bennett asked that people bring their plants to the Verona Market after 8:00 a.m. for the sale.

   d) Trinity Anniversary - It was decided to purchase a new 100 cup coffee pot in time for the anniversary.  Help is needed to organize the food on the Saturday and Sunday.
      e) Fish Fry - All the help possible is needed for the Fish Fry on Aug.8th.

   f) Apple Pie Making - A date will be decided for this event.

   g) Pig Roast - This new event will take place on October 24th.

   h) Parking Lot Signage - Signs to be put up soon.

6.  Treasurer's Report - Don Coleman circulated the report.  Moved by Don Coleman and seconded by Connie Shibley that the Treasurer's Report be accepted as presented.  Carried.

7.  Counters for May                      June  7 -   Connie Shibley
               June 14 - Jennifer Bennett
               June 21 - Jane Adamson
               June 28 - Andy Adamson

Don Coleman will ask for assistance during July and August for counting.

8.  Correspondence - None.

9.  Maintenance and Renovations - Proper care has been used concerning the sink in the lower bathroom in order not to be used by the Day Care group.

10.  New Business -  It was suggested that John McDougall and Linda Brown arrange for a new bulletin board for the Fellowship Hall.

11.Next meeting September 1, 2009 @ 7 pm in the Memorial Room.

12. Closing Prayer
The stewards joined together in the closing prayer.

13.  Adjournment at 8:15 p.m.
