1. Call to Order
Andy
Adamson called the meeting to order in the name of Jesus Christ, the one and
only Head of the Church at 7:00 p.m.
2. Andy
Adamson read the opening prayer.
3. Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved
with two additions for New Business.
4. Minutes - Glenda Turner read the
minutes. Moved by Diane Buchanan and
seconded by Linda Brown that the minutes be accepted as read with two changes. The accessibility issue is not effective
until 2012 and the Pie Sale is May 9, 2009 not May 10th. Carried.
5. Business arising from the minutes
a) Accessibility for Ontarians with
Disabilities/Ministry of Community and Social Service Andy Adamson will be the contact person when we receive some
information.
b) Rental Booklet - Booklets are in the back of the
church.
c) Rental
Fees - Moved by Dorina Friedli and seconded by Linda Brown that it is suggested that a small donation or contribution
towards energy costs and upkeep be recommended to the organizer for said
activity. This motion pertains to small
groups using the church facilities.
Carried. Don Coleman will make
the changes and bring it to the Stewards May 2009 meeting.
d) Lenten Calendars - The congregation are to return
their donations on or after April 5th.
e) Easter Choir Concert & Breakfast - Linda Brown
is proceeding with the breakfast with the
assistance of Marni Pedersen from St. Pauls.
6. Treasurer's Report - Don Coleman circulated
the report and reported a deficit of $9,611.50 for the local expenses. Moved by
Don Coleman and seconded by Rachael Henry that the treasurer's report be
accepted. Carried. New windows will be ordered soon.

10. New Business
a) Melodia
Monday - Saturday, April 25, 2009 Linda
Brown and Rachael Henry will do the advertising and Glenda Turner will be
responsible for refreshments.
b) Pie Sale -
May 9, 2009 - advertising Linda Brown and Rachael Henry with Diane Buchanan as
event chair. (The Plant Sale will be
later in May and held at the Farmer's Market.
c) Moved by
Glenda Turner and seconded by Diane Buchanan that bottles and pumps be
purchased (by the United Church Women) to be placed on the serving table for
those wishing to wash their hands.
Carried.
d) Dorina
Friedli asked that the Stewards agenda be sent out a few days prior to the meeting.
11. Calendar Update
Official Board Meeting will be held
April 20th at St. Paul's at 7:00 p.m.
12. Next Meeting - Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 7:00
p.m. in the Memorial Room.

meeting at 8:25 p.m.
