a) Sanctuary Windows Update – Millie Cuthill reported that four of these

windows have been repaired and all costs paid. There was a discussion

regarding plaques for these windows. It was decided that Millie would

contact the four donors, to see what they would like on their plaque.

Hopefully the plaques can be put in place, and a dedication service

of the windows can be held before the end of September.

b)New Offertory – for September will be 542, We Give You But Your Own,

  will be read.

New Commissioning – written by Annabelle Twiddy and Jennifer Bennett.

  More Franchise Conference, in Toronto.

Working on – Harrowsmith Cemetery Service, Sept. 21st,

             - Worldwide Communion, Oct. 5th,

             - St. Paul’s Anniversary Service, Oct. 19th,

b)Books – Lynda Price passed around a brochure of two books;

Sunday with Claudia and Whose Birthday Is It, Anyway?

She thought they would be good little books to have when new children

come (visit) to Sunday School. We agreed.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION:

Sunday School starts Sunday, September 7th, Millie Cuthill will check the

status of an extra teacher with Carol McInnes and Tracey Irwin.

OUTREACH:

Lynda Price reported that 20 tickets were given to Rural Visions, for Trinity Fish Supper, Aug. 9th. Note – when we joined with Stewards later,

Don Coleman, stated that none of these tickets were used. Lynda said, she

would check with Rural Visions, on this matter, next week.

NEW BUSINESS:

a)Drivers for Church – Gord Ramer reminded us that, there are people who

are unable to get to church, and it was suggested that we all look

around us for these people, and make sure, we get them to church each

Sunday, as they, desire. Also a notice is to be put in the bulletin.

b)Wayside Pulpit - Elfleda Watson informed us that a relative of the

McKeever family had inquired about the whereabouts of the old pulpit.

Elfleda said, she would gladly write the family, to say it is on the

north wall of the C.E. Bldg.

c)Summer Services – John McDougall brought up the subject of so few

attending these services, wonder whether just one service each Sunday

for a month at St. Paul’s and the next month at Trinity. We discussed

it, and then discussed with Stewards, and realized this has to go

  before an Official Board meeting.

d)Conference Restructuring – John McDougall had some info, that he had

read on this restructuring, which we discussed, and feel the churches

should have some input into this restructuring before the fact, not

after, as we are always the ones to feel the brunt. John says he will

go to Presbytery regarding this matter, hopefully some others will.

NEXT MEETING: Tues. October 7th, 2008, at 7 p.m.

ADJOURNED: 8:35 p.m.
