MINUTES OF APRIL 1ST, 2008:

In the Sanctuary Windows paragraph, the church should have read St. Paul’s Anglican, Sydenham, (not Kingston.)

With this correction, Barb Joyce/Gord Ramer moved the approval of the minutes, as printed and circulated.                               Carried

BUSINESS ARISING:

a) Sanctuary Windows update – Millie Cuthill circulated a 30 day quote

from Mark Thompson, Sydenham. We were very impressed with this quote.

John McDougall/Gord Ramer moved that we accept Mark Thompson’s quote,

and that we proceed with the two windows, that Bill and Marg Campsall,

and Katherine Wattam, have already committed payment.          Carried

b) Stair-trac – On Apr. 17th, Gord Ramer, held a training session, which

was well attended, but some were unable to attend, therefore Gord is

willing to do another training session, at a posted date.

CORRESPONDENCE:

Millie Cuthill read a letter from Criterion, thanking us for obtaining the

Public Performance Video License, for 2008. They require a monthly video

report as to how many videos were shown, such as at the Family Fun Nights. John McDougall volunteered to do this report.

of how to attract people through Rural Visions.

NEW BUSINESS:

a) The Church Governance Information Booklet is now update.

b) Highlights of the Official Board, Apr. 21st, were reported that the

Township and Health Dept. will be checking out the rules and regulations

regarding the sale of the manse. John McDougall also reported that we

are to late to receive any funds from the Church Modernization and

Improvement Grant for 2008, but we/he will fill out an application in

December, and hopefully receive $5,000.00, in 2009, for the Pastoral

   Charge (windows.)

c) Anniversary Sunday – John McDougall passed out a sheet with a line up of

the service. We were quite impressed with it, and being a family dinner

is to be held on Saturday night, we decided that after the service on

Sunday, Cake and Elfleda’s Ice Cream, Coffee, Tea and Cold Drinks would

be suffice. The church steps outside will be decorated with Peonies and

Lilac, and Balloons inside. We will invite past Ministers, members and

adherants who have moved away from this area, and a specially invite to

   St. Paul’s, congregation.

d) There’s an old picture of Jesus, that was at the back entrance, which

will probably go up in the attic, and two old red chairs, that probably

will go to North Frontenac Little Theatre.

e) A Wheelchair and Cane was donated to the church by Carleton Brown. Barb

Joyce will send the Brown’s a “Thank You.”

f) A pew(s) will be removed on the north side of the church, so anyone in

a wheelchair can sit in this area.

   look at later this year.
