   Requests

* Can the Scripture reading done while the children are still in

church be read from a “child friendly” version of the Bible or

even a Children’s Bible Story Book?

* Can we have a “Time for Silent Reflection” after the sermon?

Note – Session agreed too these two requests.

Lynda Price said, two people may or may not join the church.

CHRISTAIN EDUCATION:

It was suggested that Millie Cuthill speak to Sarah Norman and Tracey

Peters, to see if either one, would be interested as nursery/preschool

teacher.

John McDougall will do the monthly reports of films, as requested.

NEW BUSINESS:

a) Donated furnishings, furniture, etc, who makes decisions/protocol?

We discussed, then decided to speak with stewards.

Note – Stewards and Session discussed this, and decided that the

Property Committee, would be the best people to contend with this.

b) Time allotment for announcements at beginning of Sunday Worship –

being announcements sometimes get carried away, it was decided that

Lynda Price, will say, is there any Announcements, other than what

   is in the bulletin.

c) Reminder of Greeter’s duties – we must make sure that when we have

other persons doing the greeting, that they know the agenda, light

candles, turn on/off PA system, turn lights on/off, paper gathering,

and lock all doors upstairs and down.

d) Altar Committee – Lucy Spain, Jane Adamson and Dorina Friedli.

We do know that, the Altar Committee is not responsible for special

occasions, but Marg Smith said, she would consult with Lucy.

e) Greeters – Ralph McInnes has agreed for July and August, and John

McDougall and Elfleda Watson agreed to help him, if needed.

f) Children’s Statement – John McDougall had a nice size card, with

some statements on it pertaining to children and their family to

make them welcome in a service, and also that the back of the card

was blank for doodling. We thought it was really neat and thought

we should have a similar card to hang in the pews.

g) Anniversary Service – seems to be under control.

Note – Communion Service Sunday, June 15th, Elfleda Watson, bread,

Barb Joyce, juice. (all session members try to attend)
