WELCOME:
Andy
Adamson, chairperson constituted the meeting in the name of Jesus Christ the
only Head of the Church, at 7:07 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT:

MINUTES OF DECEMBER 4TH,

AGENDA:
There
were four extra items added under New Business.
With
these additions Gord Ramer/Ralph McInnes moved the adoption of the Agenda. Carried
BUSINESS ARISING FROM
MINUTES:
a)
Windows in Sanctuary – a discussion took place regarding options.
Gord Ramer/Hannes Friedli moved Session’s
recommendation is to go
(ahead) with Option #1. Carried
b)
Visitation Report – (Contents considered confidential and have been deleted)
c)
Stair-trac – is at the church, with a new battery, and a video how
to operate. Gord Ramer suggested we set a
time for the congregation
to watch this video, so that several people
could be trained how to
operate it, especially for special
occasions. All agreed.

– Ralph McInnes had to leave the meeting at this time.
WORSHIP AND SACRAMENT:
a) Minister’s
Report – since last meeting Lynda Price attended 1 meet-
ing; 10 visits; 1 wedding preparation
meeting; 1 wedding; attended
1 wake; attended 2 funerals; conducted 1
funeral; participated in
Advent/Christmas events, angel gifts and
hampers; conducted extra
Christmas Services. Working on Black
History month in February and
Annual Meeting Reports.
Upcoming Services– February 3rd,
is Transfiguration and Communion, at
4 p.m. is Trinity’s Annual Meeting,
followed by Potluck Supper.
February 10th, Lent begins
February 17th, “My Favourite
Hymn”

OUTREACH:
Friday,
January 18th, is the Outreach Supper, with videos afterwards.
NEW BUSINESS:
a)
Membership Update – Session members remember
to bring you list for
next month’s meeting.
b)
Church Council Organization Plans – we discussed this, and decided
that at our Annual Meeting, when it came
time to vote, each one of
us would vote, whatever way we wished.
c)
Baptism Gift – Session decided to have little story books, instead
of
candles. Lynda Price will get some books from the Resource Centre.
d) Jennifer Bennett – sent a letter telling us that,
a one man drama,
The Gospel of St. Mark, will be at St.
Paul’s, Saturday, April 19th,
at 7 p.m.
e) Correspondence to Pam – we decided to put Pam’s
name and address in
the
bulletin, and whoever wishes to send her little encouragement
notes, or
prayers, may do so.
f) Lay Reader List – we need a new one, and it needs
to be posted.
g) Agenda – it was suggested that session
chairperson email the agenda
2 - 3 days
before the meeting. (please remember
to bring your copy
to the meeting)
h) Steward and Session Chairpersons will also
converse 2 or 3 days
before the
meetings, so they know ahead of time what to expect.
i) A recommendation to Stewards to put a cover over
the existing Wheel
Chair
Ramp, as it is hard for Joyce Casement to clear snow off of it.
Note – this was put to Stewards,
they said, this is Trustees
responsibility.
