only Head of the Church, at 7:02 p.m.

ADOPTION OF AGENDA:
With
the addition of Memorial Book under New Business, Millie Cuthill/
John McDougall, moved the Adoption of the Agenda as
presented. Carried
MINUTES OF
LAST MEETING DECEMBER 2ND, 2008:
With the correction of the spelling of hire
under New Business, Barb Joyce/Darlene Nicol moved the adoption of these
minutes as printed and
circulated. Carried
BUSINESS
ARISING FROM MINUTES:
a)
Snow
Shoveling –
Daryl Snider has been hired. Joyce Casement will keep tab of his time/hours,
and give info to Don Coleman, church
treasurer for payment of wages.
b)
Security
of Church –
Joyce Casement will be keeping a log of these
errors and will report to the Ministry &
Personnel Committee at a
meeting (probably) the end of April.
CORRESPONDENCE:
WORSHIP AND
SACRAMENT:
a)
Minister’s
Report –
since last meeting Lynda Price, made 7 visit; 1
meeting; met with 1 couple re: wedding; attended 1
wake; Revell’s for photo op re: Christmas Hamper; attended Rock Lake Seniors
Christmas Dinner, received food donations for Hampers; attended assembly at
Harrowsmith Public School, to receive Christmas Stockings for Hampers, from
Grade 4 Class; spent a great deal of time on Angel Gifts and Christmas Hampers.
b)
Working
On – catching
up on visits; Annual Reports; Joint Worship Committee will meet Jan. 15th,
to evaluate results of questionnaire on worship and make recommendations/decisions;
Note – Inez Code is now at Brooks Landing. Lynda Price,
Elfleda Watson, John McDougall and Millie Cuthill will go to visit her, and
present her with a picture of the church, Wednesday, January 14th,
2009.
CORRESONDENCE:
MEMBERSHIP
PASTORAL CARE:
a) Regular Communication with
Individuals on our List – we need to keep
in contact with these persons’ not only for visits, but
rides to church services at Trinity/St. Paul’s, or other church functions.
Note
– some of the choir members went to seniors homes at Christmas
and
sang which was much appreciated, but one of the directors at a
home
said, it would be nice, if they came other times through out
the
year.
CHRISTIAN
EDUCATION:
Session and Stewards had a discussion as to some
children being allergic to nuts, peanut butter or anything containing these
items that signs needed to be put up in the downstairs area regarding this
concern. Lynda Boulter said, she would have Doug Boulter make these signs.
OUTREACH:
Sunday, January 11th, at 9:45 a.m. the
Outreach Planning Committee are having a meeting re: Family Night Program. (any
one with suggestions
or would like to attend this meeting, is welcome)
NEW BUSINESS:
a)
January
18th, Fellowship, UCW – Darlene Nicol (in the process)
b)
Christmas
Decorations
– taken down Wed. Jan. 7th, a noon
c)
Memorial
Book –
Elfleda Watson will ask Dorothy McCulloch to do the updates for 2008.
