WELCOME:
Millie
Cuthill, Chairperson, constituted the meeting in the name of Jesus Christ the
only Head of the Church, at 7:07 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Vera
Brown, Millie Cuthill, Barb Joyce, John McDougall, Darlene Nicol, Lynda Price, and
Elfleda Watson. (a quorum)
Regrets: Marg Smith and Barb Stewart.

ADOPTION OF AGENDA:
With the addition of Pastoral Oversite, under
Business Arising, and UCW, and Advertising Policy under New Business, Millie
Cuthill/John McDougall moved the adoption of the Agenda. Carried
MINUTES OF
LAST MEETING MARCH 3RD, 2009:
Darlene Nicol/Vera Brown moved the adoption of these
minutes as printed and circulated. Carried
BUSINESS
ARISING FROM MINUTES:
a)
Election
of Chairperson and Secretary – Millie Cuthill, Chairperson
and Barb Joyce, Secretary, volunteered to continue
their positions for another year.
John McDougall/Vera Brown moved the approval. Carried
b)
Mission
Statement with St. Paul’s – will be put on the Official Board Agenda, Apr. 20th.
c)
Greeters
List and Fellowship List Complete and Posted – we completed both these. Barb Joyce will
type them up, post at the back of the church, copies to Stewards, Doug
MacIntyre, and to the church secretary.
d)
Pastoral
Oversite Committee Visit – has now been postponed until September 28th, 2009,
before Official Board Meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Elfleda Watson received a “Thank You Note” from
Susan Derbyshire, re info of the Wayside Pulpit. (filed in Session book)
WORSHIP AND
SACRAMENT:
a)
Minister’s
Report –
since last meeting Lynda Price has done 7 visits; 3 meetings; attended one wake; conducted two funerals;
met with one family to plan a memorial service;
conducted one wedding; met with one couple re baptism; met with two couples re
weddings.
b)
Working
On – Easter Service and Trinity Anniversary

Lynda
Price will be away on holidays Apr. 3rd - 11th,
Stephen Ambury, Odessa UC. will be covering.

Lynda
will be completing her Rural Ministry Diploma
Program will Rev. Dr. John Young in May and June.

MEMBERSHIP
PASTORAL CARE:
a)
Easter
Cards/Insert
– everyone has their Easter Cards either sent or
ready to send. Note – next year if you decide to
send
cards, contact Linda Hutchinson at the Resource Centre, 3
weeks before, and she will order
them for you.
CHRISTIAN
EDUCATION:
The last day of Sunday School is June 7th,
2009.
OUTREACH:
Some of the choir will be singing at Rosewood
Retirement Home.
NEW BUSINESS:
a)
Communion
Wafers & Disposable Communion Cups – cups still uncertain.
b)
Boy
Scout Breakfast, Good Friday Morning – Apr. 10th, 8 to 11 a.m.
c)
A
Session Member to Replace Gord Ramer to coordinate the Lay Reader
List – will deal with this at May 5th,
meeting.
d)
UCW – Darlene Nicol, chairperson
of the UCW, stated at their
meeting they suggested a bottle of antibacterial hand
soap be placed on each end of the table for all
Fellowships/Suppers, and UCW will supply the pumps.

Advertising
Policy –
John McDougall will make a draft for May 5th,
meeting.
