CHURCH SESSION MEETING
Tuesday, March 3rd,

WELCOME:
John
McDougall, Acting Chairperson, constituted the meeting in the name of Jesus
Christ the only Head of the Church, at 7:00 p.m.
He
then welcomed Vera Brown and Barb Stewart, new members to Session.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Vera
Brown, John McDougall, Darlene Nicol, Lynda Price, Barb Stewart, and Elfleda
Watson. (a quorum)
Regrets: Millie Cuthill, Barb Joyce
and Marg Smith.
OPENING REFLECTIONS:
Darlene
Nicol read from Daily Bread, and Living Water, for those who thirst. Volunteer for March 31st,

ADOPTION OF AGENDA:
With the addition of Boy Scout Service 2010, and
Frontenac Women’s Choir, under New Business, John McDougall/Acting Secretary
Darlene Nicol, approved the Agenda as presented. Carried
MINUTES OF
LAST MEETING FEBRUARY 3RD, 2009:
Darlene Nicol/Elfleda Watson moved the adoption of
these minutes as printed and circulated.

ARISING FROM MINUTES:
a)
Memorial
Book –
Dorothy McCulloch has done the updates.
b)
Pulpit
Supply – Paul
Scott was suggested as a pulpit supply, and Trinity UCW has volunteered to do
pulpit supply just at Trinity, in October when Lynda Price is away.
c)
Easter
Music Purchase
– at present, all but $30.00, has been donated for the total purchase of this
music.
d)
Mission
Statement –
it was suggested we get together with St. Paul’s,
to review the wording, then take to Official Board,
April 20th.

Minister’s
Report –
since last meeting Lynda Price, made 6 visits; 3 meetings; attended both annual
congregational meetings; attended Girl Guide Thinking Day Service; took 3 days
study leave to attend Pre Lenten Retreat for Ministry Personnel in Pembroke,

Working
On – Easter
Services
- Anniversary Service June 14th,
- Will be covering for Rev. Stephen Ambury, Odessa,
Mar. 13th,
to 22nd,

Upcoming – Mar. 29th, 5th Sunday, combined service
at Trinity,

Buchanan, have misplaced their member-
ship, and after a discussion, Vera Brown/Barb Stewart
moved, they be accepted as Trinity members. All agreed.

– Elfleda Watson attended the Girl Guide Thinking
Day Service, and Vera Brown suggested disposal
Plastic Communion Cups as sometimes ours are
hard to remove from tray (will check other sources)

OUTREACH:
A Supper and Games night will be held Friday, March
20th, 2009.
NEW BUSINESS:
a)
Officers
and Committee Members List – at the back of the church.
b)
Motion
from the Annual Meeting to complete the Stained Glass Window Repairs – four windows have been
refurbished. We have money and a commitment for the 5th window and
are waiting weather change. Moved that the Session consider using Memorial
Funds to replace the three remaining windows and that those wanting to donate
towards the windows can still do so into the Memorial Fund. (Session discussed
the above)
Darlene Nicol/Elfleda Watson moved the three
remaining windows be
repaired
at $2,200.00 each, with monies from the Memorial Fund, and if
any one
wishes to make a donation towards these windows, the money goes
back into
the Memorial Fund. Carried
c)
Election
of Chair and Secretary 2009/10 – will do at Mar. 31st, meeting.

Oversite Committee are due to meet Apr. 20th,
and Lynda Price is going
to ask them if they could meet 6:45 p.m. to 7:45
p.m. then the Official
Board Meeting could commence afterwards.

Frontenac
Women’s Choir
– Connie Shibley ask Session’s permission to use/sing in Trinity Sanctuary,
Sunday, May 3rd, 2009. Session agreed.
g)
Boy
Scout Service 2010
– (after) a Fellowship of Hotdogs & Ice Cream.
