1. Constitution of the Court-The meeting was
opened by the chair Rob Christie with the Constitution of the Court at 7:10
p.m.
2. Opening Worship - Gayle Robertson read a
story A Gift of Nothing
Linda Brown
volunteered to do worship for the April meeting
3. Agenda - Moved by Donna Walker and seconded
by Ann McDougall that the agenda be accepted as prepared. Carried.
4. Acceptance of Minutes - Moved by Brenda
Crawford and seconded by Donna Walker that the minutes be accepted as
printed. Carried.
5. No Business Arising from the Minutes.
6. Annabelle Twiddy requested that the Board
agree to having a 7:00 a.m. service on April 12
(Easter
Sunday) followed by breakfast and then a joint regular service. It was agreed that she continue with this
plan. Linda Brown and Marni Pedersen
agreed to help with this event.
7. Correspondence - Glenda Turner read a thank
you from Judy for her Christmas gift certificate and her retirement gift. Also Queens Theological College sent a thank
you for the $100. donation from our churches.
Katherine Duffy and Andrew Adamson were the financial examiners for the
Treasurers Books for 2008 and they found the books in good order.
8. No Minister's Report as Lynda Price's Father
passed away Sunday, January 25th.
9. Treasurer's Report and Website - Moved by
Don Coleman and seconded by Millie Cuthill that the treasurer's report be
accepted. Carried. Don also reported that each week the
bulletin is put on the website and also the newsletters when ready.
10. Ministry and Personnel - Elaine Lazier
reported that Lynda Price has asked that she have
Sunday,
Feb. 1st off as bereavement leave.
Lynda will also be away Palm Sunday and Good Friday. Boxes will be prepared for donations for a
charity for Mr. Fisher (Lynda's Dad) for Feb. 1st service. Judy was given a gift of $230. on her
retirement. Don Coleman reported what a
good job that our new secretary Katharine is doing especially with commencing
when Annual Reports were due.
Manse
- All is well with the manse.
Joint
Worship - Gayle Robertson reported that communion and joint worship services
were planned for 2009. She also
reported that some changes have been made to the Sunday bulletin.
Presbytery
- Darlene Nicol reported that the Bay of Quinte Conference will be held in
Pembroke on May 22 - 24.
Trinity
Reports -Session - Millie Cuthill reported that Christmas cards were sent to
all members. Two new members joined in December. Carol singing was held at Rosewood and Helen Henderson. Dec. 21st service was cancelled due to
winter weather conditions. Thanks was
extended to Marni Pederson and Andy and Jane Adamson for co-ordinating the
Christmas Hampers. On Jan. 18, the
United Church ladies served a luncheon following church. On Jan. 31, 23 people will be attending
Guess Who is Coming to Dinner.
Stewards
- The Saturday morning breakfast will continue until Feb. 7th. Six stewards are leaving.
Trustees

Church Women - World Day of Prayer will be held March 6th at Verona Free
Methodist Church.
St.
Paul's Council - On Dec. 6th pancakes were served to 125 people. There was one baptism. The Christmas pageant was held in January
because of the cancelled service on Dec. 21.
Work is continuing on the stained glass windows.

New Business - Jennifer Bennett gave advance notice that there was need for
discussion ragarding pulpit supply for
our April meeting.
Linda
Brown announced that if anyone was interested in joining the Guess Who is
Coming to Dinner to let her know.
